Position Pay Level: $95,000 – $100,000

Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 5 years experience required. Master's Degree preferred.

The Director of Transfer Admissions is tasked with designing a transfer recruitment strategy consistent with Manhattan College’s overall enrollment objectives. S/he will manage the transfer application process, facilitate on and off-campus transfer events, and work with appropriate members of the deans’ offices to ensure efficient evaluation of transfer credit. The Director of Transfer Admissions will consistently collaborate with other directors within the College’s Enrollment Management Division to supervise and train professional support staff in all matters relating to transfer admissions goals.

Primary Responsibilities and Measurable Actions:

Using internal and external data sources and leveraging Manhattan College’s programmatic strengths, create a robust transfer recruitment strategy to meet the institution’s enrollment goals.

25% of Time

Build relationships with transfer advisors at community colleges; identify, create, and manage partnerships with community colleges, transfer-serving organizations, and community-based organizations, among others, to increase brand awareness and enrollment. In collaboration with deans and chairs, develop and manage articulation agreements. Leverage the College’s academic community and campus partners to further increase brand awareness and enrollment.

25% of Time

Working with the Academic Advisors, refine and automate the transfer credit evaluation process. Increase the speed and clarity in which admission decisions are made and credit evaluations are presented to students; leverage technology and innovation to improve the process of recruiting, enrolling and onboarding new transfer students; provide a personalized transfer counseling experience for prospective students to ensure they receive support in navigating the process; make recommendations regarding College-wide transfer support services.

20% of Time

In collaboration with other members of the enrollment management team and College, develop and carry out a robust communication campaign including recommendations for lead generation, publications, social media and events, and provide support to the enrollment operations process.

15% of Time

As a member of the enrollment management team, participate in the daily operations of the admissions office, application review, and in recruitment and yield events including but not limited to open houses and admitted student days; develop and lead an extraordinary transfer recruitment team.

15% of Time

Productivity Measures/KPIs:

The ability to streamline the transfer credit evaluation process and increase transfer enrollment will be considered as key performance indicators of success.
