The University of Maryland College Park seeks a visionary, experienced, and dynamic leader for the role of Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life (DFSL). This pivotal position involves comprehensive strategic planning, program development, community engagement, policy formulation, and overall management of fraternity and sorority life on campus. The Director will spearhead initiatives that align with the University’s broader goals, emphasizing student development, diversity, leadership, and community building.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree.


Experience:

  • Minimum ten years of progressive experience in student life administration, with a focus on fraternity and sorority life.
  • Minimum of five years of full time staff supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
Preferences:
Preferences:
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Extensive experience in a leadership role within student affairs fraternity and sorority life.
  • Experience working in student affairs leadership on a large, diverse, dynamic campus
  • Experience leading units through organizational restructuring and change
  • Experience advising, coaching, and collaborating with identity-based fraternity and sorority organizations.
  • Proven expertise in crisis management, strategic planning, and community engagement.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in fraternity and sorority life.
