Our office is seeking a Data Reporting Specialist to support operations and reporting requirements of the school, as well as inform strategy and decision-making across the organization.
The Data Reporting Specialist will serve as a liaison to various faculty and staff throughout the University (School of Medicine, Provost’s Office, Alumni Engagement Office) for all School of Medicine Graduate Education (PhD, MS, Certificate) data needs. The incumbent will work with graduate student data including but not limited to PhD trainee demographics, funding information, graduate student admissions and enrollments statistics, graduate faculty information, and trainee outcomes. An ideal candidate will have experience extracting, interpreting, and reporting student educational data from a variety of sources, creating reports, visualizing data, and managing and planning databases.
Job Summary
Provides management of data entry and retrieval, routine and ad hoc reporting, and data and technical support. Writes systems and operational business processes. Analyzes trends and patterns in data sets and transforms data into visually appealing materials and presentations. Ensures adherence to all privacy and security policies.
Essential Functions
Manages and develops database and collaborates with multiple University/Department and internet sources to track graduate student, alumni data, and mentoring data. Develops reporting protocols and analysis practices, and ensures accuracy of data. Provides technical support. Requires excellent organizational skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with others. Ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
Physical Effort
Position is generally sedentary, but there may be times when position requires mobility to move throughout campus to attend meetings both in person and virtually. Incumbent must be able to carry out job responsibilities with reasonable accommodations. May be required to lift or move objects 25 pounds or less.

Hiring Range $48,000 to $54,000 annually
