Position Summary

The Early Childhood Services Center at UNM is seeking to hire a Coord, Education Support to assist several statewide early childhood projects including day-to-day operations. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage time and communicate effectively and professionally through email, phone, and face-to-face. Pay attention to detail and possess superior customer service skills. Duties will include data entry; data tracking and reporting, managing the training calendar; entry, maintenance of courses and technical assistance for the online Learning Management System, as well as coordination of trainings and meetings. The Coordinator of Education Support works as a member of a dynamic unit and must be adaptable and willing to work as part of a team. 

 Additional duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Inventory management and maintenance
  • Ship and mail materials and resources
  • Review and translation of internal and external documents
  • Assist the purchasing team
  • Manage multiple databases and systems
  • Contribute to policy and procedure workgroups
  • Support the organization’s overall infrastructure

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  •   Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication 
  • Data entry and analyzing experience 
  • Knowledge of data review, evaluation, and reporting

Providing meeting support to include scheduling room reservations, agenda creation, meeting minutes and distribution; and other support tasks as assigned

Experience planning, scheduling, and coordinating calendars, meetings, and events

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365 Suite including Word, Excel, Teams, and Zoom setup
  • Knowledge of computer navigation sufficient to be able to teach other users 
  • Experience in coordination and oversight of administrative support. 
  • Ability to problem-solve in customer service/support environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate success in developing and maintaining supportive work relationships
