Responsibilities*
  • Support the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (LACS) in establishing a communication strategy pertaining to its website, weekly bulletin, calendar, and annual report.
  • Work with LACS team members to identify out-of-date information on the center?s website and generate new content.
  • Design and circulate a weekly bulletin with information about our concurrent program activities, events, and funding opportunities in coordination with LACS and the International Institute staff.
  • Manage LACS calendar and support scheduling meetings, conference calls, and project-related events with team members.
  • Contribute to design and content creation of the center?s annual report.
  • Consolidate directory of relevant campus partners and LACS info sheet.
  • Help promote LACS programs, initiatives, and scholarships on campus through classroom presentations, tabling, and other activities.
  • Work on publicity materials to attract donors and improve the center?s resource mobilization strategy and action plan.
  • Coordinate and perform activities involved in the collection, documentation, and organization of outreach materials.
  • Support LACS writing and distributing project-related messages, such as memos and status updates.

Required Qualifications*
  • We are seeking a graduate student or applicant with comparable experience for this position
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • ?An eye for design and creating engaging and pleasing publications
  • Ideally, candidates will have an interest in the programming and mission of the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies
