College of Theology - Office Assistant (FWS)

Purpose within the Organization:

The College of Theology is looking for an Office Assistant to work on our team. This role relates directly to the operation of the college and allows for experience within a wide range of skills. This position will allow you develop your entrepreneurial talent and administrative skills in a real-world setting. Specifically looking for a student who is engaged with the College of Theology actively and would like to invest in its success.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

  • Answering and making phone calls
  • Maintain College Bulletin Board and Newsletter
  • Interacting with other departments such as AV, IT, and the Copy Center to accomplish certain tasks
  • Provide directions to visitors and students
  • Maintain Office/Kitchen Supplies
  • Ensures Chapel, conference rooms, workstation area and kitchen are kept neat and clean
  • Other tasks as requested by faculty and staff of the college

Qualifications:

  • Must be Federal Work Study (FWS) eligible.
  • Must have friendly and efficient disposition
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, primarily Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Knowledge of MS Publisher a plus
  • Friendly phone skills
  • Ability to be able to focus on task, able to multitask, and prioritize tasks
  • Self-motivated
  • Comfortable interacting with pastors, faculty, students and others while embracing the Christian worldview
  • College of Theology student preferred

Education:

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.

Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. 

  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.

  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
