The MPRC Inpatient Division at the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Study Recruiter (Senior Clinical Research Assistant).


The Maryland Psychiatric Research Center (MPRC) is an internationally renowned research center, which is dedicated to providing treatment to patients with schizophrenia and related disorders, educating professionals and consumers about schizophrenia, and conducting basic and translational research into the manifestations, causes, and treatment of schizophrenia. The selected candidate will perform duties that support the department's mission.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as MPRC-wide recruiter of participants for clinical research studies.
  • Maintains comprehensive understanding of all active clinical research studies under multiple investigators at MPRC.
  • Screen potential clinical study participants for eligibility for active protocols.
  • Develop and maintain a database of willing and eligible research study participants.
  • Develop a recruitment network and regularly participate in community outreach with area clinics, organizations, and events.
  • Represent MPRC by representing on the Center and its current research studies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications

  

Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific field of study related to the research of the clinical setting.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in clinical research in research being performed in unit.
Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts.

The Hiring Range for this position is in the mid $50,000s to low $60,000s, commensurate with education and experience.
