Clinical Research Coordinator

The Department of Psychology in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Research Assistant.
This position will collect and gather research data for the Teen Screen Time, Emotional Experiences, and Neuroscience (Teen SCREEN) Study and other ongoing research studies in the the Families, Emotions, Neuroscience and Development Laboratory involving depressed, anxious, suicidal and self-harming adolescents and their parents. Accurately conduct study assessments involving the collection of fMRI, pupil/eye tracking, and physiological data. Schedule study visits and prepare research materials. Onboard participants to collection of EMA and passive sensing data. Assist PI in reference management, preparation of manuscripts, research reports and documents, and tracking study materials. Provides administrative assistance by scheduling lab meetings and supervising undergraduate lab members. Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate families in the study, including evening and weekend availability.
Preferred applicants will have:
- Two years of research experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or pending degree this Spring) in Psychology or Neuroscience
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents
- Experience with one or more of the following methodologies: fMRI, eye tracking, ecological momentary assessment
- Experience with project management, data management, and/or programming
- Demonstrated leadership experience

Job Summary
Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Recruits research subjects and conducts interviews and research assessments.
Essential Functions
Must be able to complete all necessary IRB trainings and provide Act 33/34 clearances in order to interact with research participants.
Physical Effort
The position is primarily sedentary, although walking to lab spaces in other buildings in Oakland will be required for conducting assessments.
