Clinical Associate - General Internal Medicine #MED271

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicine, seeks a full-time general internist or primary care med-peds physician for appointment as a Clinical Associate for a renewable term of up to two years. Clinical responsibilities will include seeing outpatients in the U Chicago Primary Care Group and attending up to two months per year on the inpatient general medicine service as needed. Part of these duties will be performed on a ‘float’ basis, to fill in for other faculty who are out on leave or vacation, including some in-box coverage. This position does not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent on qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be BC/BE in internal medicine.
