Reports to the Chair of the Department of Periodontology and is responsible for patient assignments, resident’s workflow and clinical production; Serves as Clinical Director for the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics and assists the Program Director in administering the post-doctoral residency program; Serves on committees and accept other assignments from time to time at the request of the Program Director/and or Department Chair.


Teaching responsibilities include providing clinical teaching support, mentoring and supervising 1st, 2nd and 3rd year residents, and ensuring adequate faculty clinical coverage and related staffing. Teaching duties in the clinic include: Supervising and demonstrating technique to resident students during patient care cases; instructing students on treatment of patients with complex medical histories; full mouth rehabilitation of partially or completely edentulous patients with dental implants; treatment of patients undergoing IV sedation; Correction of mucogingival defect using autografts or allografts; Esthetic rehabilitation of patients using crown lengthening and lip repositioning surgeries; Osseous respective and regenerative surgeries using autograft, allografts and xenografts; Localized chemotherapy and non-surgical management of patients with periodontal disease; Biopsy of hard and soft tissue lesions.


  • Must have DDS/DMD degree, dental license or eligibility for dental licensure in Massachusetts.
  • Must have a Master’s degree in Periodontology from a US Dental School.
  • Must have two years of experience in digital dentistry and robotic assisted implant surgery and Dynamic Navigation surgery gained through work experience or residency training. 
  • Must be Board eligible/ Board certified from the American Board of periodontology. 
  • Must have experience in research as demonstrated by at least one publication in a peer reviewed journal.
