Job Summary

The purpose of the PT@TheBeach Clinic Office Coordinator is to oversee front office practices, including patient intake and insurance verification, patient scheduling, train and coordinate student interns, and billing and receivable operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely payment, postings, account reconciliations, and fund deposits
  • Schedule interns to ensure complete coverage of clinic operating hours
  • Oversee record keeping and clinic budget
  • Oversee clinic administrative operations

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Computer literacy in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of medical billing, ICD-10, CPT coding, policies and procedures, clinician credentialing, financial statements, and accounts payable. Excellent project management, organizational, and human resource skills with the ability to function independently. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and able to fully operate computers, fax machine, telephone, and other office machines as needed.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.  Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.  Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."


Education and Experience

Equivalent to four years administrative support or equivalent office management experience is required.

Preferred:

• CPR, AED, First Aid certification

• Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Health Care Administration, and/or health or related fields.

• Three to five years of demonstrated success in program and service development, implementation, and evaluation.

• Previous work experience in a physical therapy or other clinic office

Compensation

$1,915 – $2,329/month depending on experience. The salary range for this classification is $1,915 to 3,217 month.

Time Base

25 hours per week (.625 time-base) temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
