UW MEDICINE’S REVENUE INTEGRITY Department has an outstanding opportunity for a CHARGE MASTER OPERATIONS ANALYST

WORK SCHEDULE

  • POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • Collaborate with a group of key stakeholders from departments across UW Medicine to develop appropriate and complaint charging.

  • PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain the integrity and billing compliance of the data contained in the master files in support of Epic Hospital Billing
  • Obtain and analyze data from Epic and other sources to evaluate effectiveness of current and future state with modifications
  • Coordinate with departments and external vendors to ensure compliance and data integrity in the revenue cycle
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Chargemaster Operations team for efficient content and operational readiness
  • Ensure all charges are tested and fully integrated with other systems
  • Collaborate with all levels in the organization regarding opportunities and/or deficiencies
  • Provides recommendations for improvement and provides education, as necessary
  • Provide quarterly analysis of CDM  for accuracy and compliancy for applicable revenue codes, HCPCS, modifiers, & payer flag assignments
  • Lead quarterly and annual CDM updates for the Charge Master Operations Team as dispersed from CMS/AMA
  • Assist with the annual Pricing updates to ensure all areas of pricing are updated and prior to the beginning of each fiscal year

  • REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Informatics, or related healthcare field
    6 Years experience in:
  • Revenue Cycle Management, Revenue Integrity or chargemaster operations
  • Clinical operations and clinical department systems
  • Government payor regulations and requirements for hospital and professional claims submission
  • Charging/Charge Capture workflows
  • Payor Contract and reimbursement language
  • OR Equivalent education/experience
