BYU Catering - Back of House

Come join the BYU Catering team!  High-End Catering across campus. BYU Catering serves meals created by chefs, all over campus, to guests ranging from FSY (For the Strength of Youth) participants to General Authorities, elite athletes and the special guests and donors that visit Campus.  There is always something fun and new at Catering. You could even work with and learn from the award-winning Chefs!

Positions vary, you can choose from Kitchen Stewards, Cooks in Veg Prep or Hot Kitchen

Wage is $14/hr separated into $12/hr + $2 of Dining Credit

What you'll do in this position: 

  • Attending meal prep for buffets and plated meals.
  • Working with and under Certified Chefs.
  • Cleaning and washing items used.

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

  • Able to obtain Food Handlers Permit through Y-Train within two weeks of your first day (if you don't have one already)
  • Ability to lift 20-25 lbs.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for 4-5 hours at a time.
  • Available for employment ASAP, during the semester and in between semesters
