What we want

The Business Coordinator III is responsible for, under general supervision, coordinating a variety of business activities within Mail Services requiring independent judgment, including reviewing business documents and assisting in developing, monitoring, and reporting on department billing and student worker staffing as directed by supervisor.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Four years of related experience in general office, accounting, or personnel operations.  

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Planning and organizational skills. Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others. 

Essential Duties/Tasks

BILLING:

  • Will assist in preparation and maintenance of postage accounting system for monthly cost tracking and billing of 1st Class and Bulk Mail services.

  • Will assist in reviewing and approving vouchers and requisitions for the Meter room.

  • Will assist in reviewing and auditing reconciliations of multiple unit accounts.

  • Will assist in monitoring and reporting on unit budget activity.

STUDENT WORKER ONBOARDING:

  • Will assist in the onboarding of student workers that includes recruiting, reviewing applications, providing tours of the facility to prospective employees, conducting interviews, and verifying background checks have cleared.

  • Will assist in maintaining employee files.

OFFICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT:

  • Will assist with the customer service window and handle complex inquiries involving student employment, customer inquiries, and mail/package delivery thru the window.

TRAINING:

  • Participates in the hiring and training of business staff, and indirectly supervises staff and student workers.

  • Trains staff on new and existing business procedures and provides policies and regulations to staff.
