The UW AUTISM Center (UWAC) is devoted to supporting families affected by AUTISM spectrum disorders through exceptional clinical services, innovative scientific research and high-quality training. UWAC is part of the Center on Human Development and Disability at the University of Washington and incorporates faculty and staff from the UW School of Medicine, College of Arts & Sciences, and College of Education.

The UWAC currently has outstanding opportunities for a full- time Behavior Technician (BT) (Research Study Coordinator 1 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv)) at the Tacoma Campus.

This individual will work amongst a team of professionals, including licensed psychologists, speech-language pathologists, board certified behavior analysts, medical professionals, faculty, graduate students, and pre- and post-doctoral fellows.  This position will provide clinical services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders, providing/Implementing direct interventions to children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) using principles of applied behavior analysis under the supervision of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analysts).

The position will support UW Autism Center-wide policies and procedures and workload standards. The position has additional complexities involving the ability to handle complex and sensitive situations regarding clinic patients.
