Job Overview

Leads, oversees, co-ordinates and performs all aspects of merchant credit card, and PCI compliance activities.  Provides support for treasury and banking operations.


Essential Functions
  • Determines PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance protocols and effective training and compliance initiatives for the university.
  • Acts as the PCI and MA (Merchant Administration) team leader.  Coordinates between external vendors, 130 plus merchants, and 300-400 staff members, acting as the University’s primary contact and annual training coordinator for MA and PCI related requirements.  Serves as primary lead for both Merchant and UCIT Merchant support staff in identifying and executing compliance and efficiency initiatives, developing ongoing training protocols, and successful problem resolution related to merchant administration management, credit card transaction processing, reporting and compliance.
  • Analyzes and reports on key drivers related to credit card processing and PCI compliance.
  • Produces and maintains the budget for the PCI, banking, and merchant administration cost centers.
  • Assists with the ongoing management of banking and cash management requirements, including helping to coordinate the analysis and implementation of banking initiatives, assisting with the analysis of the university’s bank budget, and performing (on a monthly basis, or as when otherwise may be requested) daily bank operational activities and requirements.  This will include but is not limited to daily cash management activities or other banking related functions as may be directed by the Assistant Treasurer
  • Supports other treasury activities and functions.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in communications, finance, or public administration.


Required Experience

Four (4) years of related work experience.
Demonstrated in depth knowledge of PCI and credit card industry requirements.
Experience developing, measuring, and reporting on PCI compliance and conformance attributes.
Demonstrated capability and thorough understanding of treasury portal design, operations, and management.
Demonstrated ability to support operational areas of treasury, like AR, fed wires, etc.


Additional Qualifications Considered

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse target audiences.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Adobe Acrobat experience.

Demonstrated ability to lead special projects and coordinate work teams

SAP experience

Budgeting experience
