Position Summary
Works with faculty, staff and students to provide multi-media production and equipment support in auditoriums, classrooms, conference rooms, computer labs, etc. Provides for proper setup, operation and maintenance of various computers, A/V equipment, video and web conferencing equipment and software configurations required for capturing live productions, post-production editing and presentations throughout the university. Works with little supervision and often required to handle unanticipated hardware or other logistics problems. Creative troubleshooting skills are necessary to ensure event support runs smoothly and efficiently. Also supervises and assists with training student employees who provided event and production assistance.


Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides support for live production/event capture/streaming/recording/presentations on Medical School campus.
  • Provides training and assistance to faculty, staff and students in use of presentation software and hardware.
  • Troubleshoots computer, projection, sound equipment and presentation problems.
  • Facilitates virtual meetings/collaborations by providing support with available hardware and software across campus.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Working Conditions

  • Occasionally have to work evenings and/or weekends.
  • Occasionally need to travel between Medical Center, Danforth, North, West and South.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in university audio-visual/technology environment.
  • Practical knowledge of camera operation and associated.
  • General knowledge of streaming and web-conferencing technologies.
  • Understanding of room audio-visual/technology environment.
  • Knowledge of portable sound reinforcement and video projection.


Required Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of video and web conferencing technologies. Experience with Windows and Apple computers / operating systems. Ability to adjust to changes in priorities and demands on time. Ability to work with minimal supervision with a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service from first contact and beyond.

Salary Range
$20.76 - $32.21 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
