Greene Science Center on Columbia’s Manhattanville campus, the state-of-the-art building offers an environment where the highest level of scholarly scientific research takes place daily, with the benefit of being located in the heart of New York, one of the world’s most vibrant and culturally rich cities. 

In the laboratory of Dr. Daphna Shohamy, the Associate Research Scientist will study the bases of abstraction and generalization in the human brain with the use of neuroimaging, human behavior, computational modeling, and machine learning.  The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of study design, implementation, and administration, including conceiving and developing novel experiments; overseeing all aspects of data collection; developing and applying novel analysis tools and computational models; writing and preparing publications and conference presentations; managing technical staff and trainees involved in the research; managing administration of current funding sources; and conceiving and preparing new grant applications. This role includes management of technical staff and/or trainees and mentorship; and successful application of competitive federal funding from the NIH or similar agencies
