We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to provide comprehensive clinical care to the Head and Neck Surgery Service 4 Clinic Days, with dedicated administrative time for a total of 4 shifts per week Monday through Friday.

We are:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 900 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department.

This role is prioritizing experienced APPs.

You are:

  • A good decision maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
  • Able to work effectively in an environment notable for sophisticated situations
  • Work collaboratively with other APPs, nurses and physicians, including fellows and residents
  • Flexible with scheduling and will adapt to the needs of the service

You will:

  • Deliver comprehensive care to Head and Neck patients, including pre-operative assessments, post-surgical care, assist in in office procedures and routine follow up in the outpatient setting
  • Comfortable and organized/experience with documentation including but not limited to pre/post op notes, clinic notes, chart reviews, etc.
  • Participate in implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members

Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are:

  • Graduate from an accredited PA Program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active New York State license or be qualified for state license
  • 2+ years of experience with head and neck patients as an APP
  • ACLS/BLS certification

Qualifications needed for NP candidates are:

  • Current New York State RN and NP license/registration
  • Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges
  • 2+ years of experience with head and neck patients as an APP
  • Related National NP certification
  • ACLS/BLS certification

Pay Range $136,000-180,000K
