Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Assistant Dean for Academic Programs & Student Services, the Associate Director of Recruitment & Admissions is responsible for executing planned initiatives and ensuring the successful attraction, recruitment, matriculation, and retention of high-caliber domestic and international students for all undergraduate and graduate School of Education programs, outside of the online counseling program.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Create, plan, and implement communication strategies for prospective candidates throughout all phases of the recruitment cycle; prospective students, applicants, admits, and deposited students.
  • Ensure the enrollment goals and objectives of the various programs are met.
  • Travel locally and domestically to recruit student prospects at graduate school fairs, industry meetings, information sessions, and special university events.
  • Collaborate with undergraduate admissions and local community colleges on transfer initiatives for the undergraduate program.
  • Interview and evaluate applicants for admission and distribute scholarships in an equitable and ethical manner; ensuring that all admitted students successfully complete pre-requisites.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Assistant Dean to ensure a smooth transition for newly admitted students.
Conditions of Employment
Weekends and/or evenings and local/regional travel are required for recruitment purposes. This position may require additional hours beyond the typical work week, including occasional overnight and weekend work as needed to meet the business needs of the operation.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Several years (typically 3-5 years) of experience working in one or more of the following: university admissions, corporate recruiting, strategic selling, or another relevant industry sector.
  • Experience managing prospects using a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Experience effectively promoting programs.
  • Experience anticipating, planning, and completing cyclical and one-time projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using web conferencing tools and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a field related to education or education administration.
  • Experience with website design and using social media for recruitment purposes.
  • Experience effectively promoting programs to students, faculty, alumni, and employers.
  • Experience managing and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admissions requirements, and financial aid programs, at colleges/universities.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner SIS (not self-service Banner applications).

Advertised Pay Range Up to $72,000 commensurate with experience and internal pay alignment.
