Position Summary
The W&M Raymond A. Mason School of Business is seeking an engaging and driven Associate Director of Admissions & Recruitment for MBA programs. Reporting directly to the Director, Admissions & Recruitment for MBA Programs, the Associate Director is part of a high-performing admissions and enrollment team responsible for identifying and engaging prospective students for the MBA programs and leading them through to enrollment at W&M. Specifically, the Associate Director is responsible for ensuring the successful attraction, recruitment, matriculation, and retention of high-caliber domestic and international students for the MBA programs.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Through innovative and proactive efforts, ensure the annual objectives and enrollment goals of the program are met in collaboration with the Director and team.
  • Execute planned initiatives to identify and recruit an excellent and diverse student body.
  • Travel both internationally and domestically to recruit student prospects, using data to identify market and potential areas of growth.
  • Interview and evaluate applicants for admission
  • Ensure that all admitted students successfully complete prerequisites and work collaboratively with the Student Services teams to provide top-level high-touch experience for all incoming students through matriculation.
Conditions of Employment
• The Associate Director must be willing (without hesitation or schedule conflict) to travel extensively and consecutively for significant periods of time throughout the entire calendar year both internationally and domestically (up to, but not limited to 8 months of travel). This includes frequent evening work, weekend work and work over some university recognized paid holidays.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Experience working in one or more of the following: university graduate admissions, corporate recruiting, talent recruiting, strategic selling, higher education student services, or another relevant industry sector.
  • Ability to develop and implement successful recruitment programs and design effective materials and outreach events to attract and enroll top candidates to the MBA programs.
  • Strong sales/recruitment and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to master prospect management system.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, along with an ability to effectively promote the School and its programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate quantitative and qualitative data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in business, accounting, higher education, or a related degree.
  • Experience in higher education student recruitment, admissions, or student services.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting recruitment or sales goals.
