Assistant Director of Football Graphic Design

Position Summary

Michigan State Athletics is searching for a candidate to fill the Assistant Director of Football Graphic Design position. This position is responsible for the design of football graphics in relation to recruiting email, social media, print, and other digital recruiting efforts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design various products for recruiting purposes including, but not limited to mailings, social media graphics, digital media (applications, PowerPoint presentations, etc), posters, pictures, graphic templates, book covers, pamphlets, etc.
• Create graphic templates for specific results.
• Recommend strategy and industry standards to the Director of Graphic Design to develop innovative and creative design elements for the football recruiting department.
• Assist with football photography needs, including but not limited to official visits, workouts, practices, and other needs defined by the creative/recruiting staff.
• Collaborate with recruiting staff to keep photo shoots current and relevant for prospective student-athletes.
• Create program branding and social media content that informs football recruits, student-athletes, alumni and supporters of the program.
• Create and enhance current branding opportunities. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Degree

Bachelors

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, applied visual arts or related field AND one (1) year of work/intern experience in graphic design, social media deliverables, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Demonstrated proficiency with media software (Adobe Creative Suite)

Desired Qualifications

• One (1) year of working experience in a Division I football program or professional sports organization.

• One (1) year of working experience in professional graphic design roles (freelance)

• Excellent creative portfolio in graphic design with experience creating graphic content for major brand social media accounts.
