The Division of Academic Affairs at Texas A&M University is seeking an Assistant Provost for Strategic Educational Partnerships who is an exceptional leader to oversee the implementation, coordination, and assessment of grants, educational initiatives, and partnerships as our division spearheads the development and delivery of academic programs and provides leadership for the advancement, implementation and assessment of student access, accountability, learning, and success initiatives.

As a creative leader, you will be responsible for leading and assisting in the preparation of grant proposals to new and existing federal, state, and local government and private funders while collaborating with academic administrators to strengthen existing relationships as you continue developing new opportunities to help advance the educational mission of Academic Affairs.

Opportunities to contribute:

  • Lead and direct the operations and activities of the Strategic Educational Partnerships who in turn monitor and oversee grants/projects

  • Development, management, and evaluation of special initiatives across campus and the effectiveness of programs and services

  • Organizational Collaboration with key college, university, and community stakeholders to meet objectives.

  • Fiscal responsibility creating and managing assigned budgets; Administers and oversees all related fiscal activities

Qualifications:

 A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with ten years of progressively responsible management experience working in program development/management.

The well-qualified applicant will have a Ph.D. from an accredited college/university with experience in Federal agency networking, Student success, and University collaborations. Additional attributes include knowledge of principles and practices of grant funding, researching grant opportunities, identifying federal, state, private and corporate grant funding as well as knowledge of STEM disciplines.
