Assistant Professor

Job Summary:

The Division of Infectious Diseases is recruiting faculty members at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (Anschutz Medical Campus) who will have duties in clinical infectious diseases and inpatient ID consultation. Responsibilities encompass inpatient clinical consultative services, participation in education and mentoring, and scholarship in the field.

Applicants for these positions must have completed an accredited Infectious Diseases fellowship and be ABIM board eligible or board certified in Infectious Diseases. Applicants should have demonstrated aptitude for scholarly achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Outpatient clinical services
• Infectious Disease Inpatient Attending and Fellow/resident teaching – position emphasizes excellence in clinical care (Master Clinician role).
• Engage in teaching and mentoring of trainees
• Publish scholarly work
• Participate in division case conferences, journal clubs and grand rounds
• Assist with scheduling of physicians and APPs for inpatient services 

This role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.  

• Education:

o   MD or MD-PhD degree

• Experience

o   Completion of ID fellowship at accredited program  

Preferred Qualifications:

• A publication record in some field of ID
• MD or MD-PhD degree
• Completion of ID fellowship at accredited program

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$210,000

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
