Job Description

West Texas A&M University, a member institution of the Texas A&M University System, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in American women’s and gender history, with preferred secondary fields in U.S. West, Texas, and/or environmental history. This position is pending budgetary approval. Teaching duties include undergraduate surveys in U.S. and/or Texas history, as well as upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate’s fields of specialization.

The successful candidate should have an earned doctorate in history by the time duties in teaching, research, and service commence at the beginning of the fall 2024 semester.

Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, teaching statement, sample syllabi, chapter-length writing sample, unofficial graduate transcript, and three letters of reference no later than Friday, May 31st, 2024.
