Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, is searching for a full-time Assistant Professor who specializes in the treatment of advanced heart failure with an additional focus on cardiovascular genetics. The appointee will have a mix of inpatient (cardiac ICU, cath lab and advanced heart failure floor and consult service) and outpatient clinical responsibilities at our Hyde Park campus and at network locations. The appointee will provide outreach to UChicago Medicine sites including the Chicagoland suburbs and/or Northwest Indiana. Other duties will include the teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board Eligible or Certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, and 4) have training and experience in advanced heart failure.
