The anticipated start date is August 8, 2024.

Applicants should have a preferred research concentration in one of the following areas: Cryptography, applied cryptography, privacy preserving technologies (e.g., homomorphic encryption, zero-knowledge proof, multi-party computation, differential privacy, trusted execution environment, etc.), and intersection of algorithm and cryptography (e.g., quantum cryptography, post‐quantum crypto, etc.).

The position will be expected to strengthen both the tenure home department (Mathematics), as well as the UCF Cyber Security and Privacy Cluster, and may include a combination of secondary joint appointments with relevant units (such as Department of Computer Science). The ideal candidate will be at the rank of assistant professor, but exceptional candidates at the rank of associate professor or professor will be considered. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the preferred research concentrations listed above.

The Department of Mathematics at UCF offers a full range of mathematics courses for its B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. programs, in addition to providing service courses for the university’s general education program and STEM majors.
