Position Summary:
Assistant Director, Ticket Operations assists the Associate AD, Ticket Operations with all day-to-day processes of the Athletic Ticket Office. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to event creation and financial reporting, providing a high level of customer service, possessing high knowledge of all ticketing packages and benefits as well as driving season ticket sales, renewals, and group sales for ticketed Athletics Events. The Assistant Director will also oversee ticketing operations of assigned ticketed sports and maintain all department policies and procedures.
All job duties must be completed in compliance with University, Conference and NCAA policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary Ticket Office liaison for Women’s Basketball and Football (FCS), and secondary Ticket Office liaison for Men’s Basketball, including day-to-day operational needs.
  • Build, maintain, and review manifests, price tables, and events in the Paciolan ticketing system.
  • Manage all aspects of season ticket renewals, single-game sales strategies and all holds inventory with emphasis on maximizing revenue for assigned sports.
  • Oversight of Ticket Office Intern position and student workers staff, including recruiting, hiring, and training staff on ticket operation processes.
  • Supervisor of all game day ticket operations as assigned and work closely with Associate AD, Ticket Operations to review and fulfill priority seating requests.
  • Serve as Ticket Office liaison with the Mullen Center for the Performing Arts, including managing operator access, controls, and essential functions for ticket sales, service, and operation.
  • Liaison directly with Legends sales/fundraising executives to assist with sellable inventory and execution of group sales initiatives.
  • Work with ARMS software and complimentary ticket process for student-athletes, coaches, staff, and recruits, as well as oversight of fulfillment on student-athlete guest, coaches, staff, and PSA ticket requests.
  • Responsible for financial reporting/event settlements in addition to cash, check, and credit card deposits with the Athletic Business Office.
  • Oversee and manage the execution of the regular and post season student ticket process including working with the Registrar’s Office to maintain the most up-to-date student information/data.
  • Work closely with the Wells Fargo Center Ticket Operations team around inventory and on-sales for packages, groups, and single-game sales, and for with day of game ticket operations, box office customer service and execution, and scan data.
  • Serve as primary contact for external events where tickets are being sold and events taking place at Villanova Athletic Facilities.
  • Participate in BIG EAST Conference Ticketing working group.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate AD, Ticket Operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Sport Management, or related field).
  • Knowledge of ticket office operations, systems and specific software a plus. Knowledge of sports marketing principle and strategies. Should possess general knowledge of NCAA rules.
  • 2-3 years experience working in ticket/box office operations and customer service. Experience in an Athletics Department, Sports Marketing Association, or professional sports environment. Experience working in ticket operations and customer service environment. Experience working with students a plus.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and an ability to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Proficiency with personal computer applications. Proficiency with Paciolan ticketing system preferred or other ticketing system. Experience with ARMS is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree preferred (sports management or related field).
  • Proficiency with Paciolan ticketing system preferred.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is preferred.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
  • Professional work environment.
  • Significant number of evening and weekend hours are required.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of boxes and equipment.
