Summary:
Reporting to the Head Football Coach, the Chief of Staff will provide high-level administrative support and advice to the Head Football Coach. Primary duties will consist of communicating the team’s strategic initiatives and objectives, overseeing general football office operations, and liaising with the Athletics Department and University administration. The Chief of Staff will assure the smooth and efficient operations of daily office activities, providing direct and indirect supervision and leadership to the coaching staff and support staff. Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.
This position requires a background check.
Required Education & Experience:


Bachelor's degree and at least two years of related experience. Knowledge of NCAA and Conference Regulations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 
Preferred: 
*Demonstrated experience in the management of the day-to-day operation of a Football program. 
*Previous experience with a Division 1-A Football program.
*Master’s degree.
  Required Skills & Abilities:
*Must be able to work a highly variable schedule including nights and weekends.
*Must be able to lift 30 - 50 pounds. 
*Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication and organizational skills. *Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Software including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. *Demonstrated problem-solving, strong leadership, and team-building skills. 
*Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
*Ability to supervise the maintenance and improvements of football facilities, including field preparation and readiness. 
*Ability to liaise with the coaching staff for football officiating and rules, including University guidelines, American Athletic Conference guidelines, and NCAA rules. 
*Ability to organize preseason training camp regarding housing, meals, transportation, entertainment, speakers and presentations, officials, and daily schedule. 
*Ability to assist with the coordination and execution of fundraising, donor, and fan events.

*Demonstrated direct experience and success with the management of an intercollegiate sports program, preferably Football.
