Provides personalized career development services and resources to student-athletes, including career exploration and planning components. Leads all financial education programs and initiatives, including those intersecting Name, Image, and Likeness.



Job Summary

Facilitates the life skills and varsity letter departmental and programmatic events for former and current student-athletes. Supports programs and events with collaborative working across a multi-faceted array of internal and external stakeholders and departments and coordinating the communications, public relations, and marketing for the department. Assists in evaluation, data tracking, and implementation of renewed-objective life skills events.


Essential Functions 

Provides career development assistance, including career exploration, resume, cover letter/personal statement, interview, graduate/professional school, and internship/employment search and application support. Oversees career tracks and materials for graduate/professional school and targeted career fields. Provides education regarding professional presence and financial literacy through various online and social platforms. Identifies and tracks campus professional development programs and financial literacy resources for the accessibility of student-athletes and Life Skills staff. Collaborates with campus units or individuals for career development and financial education to expand holistic student-athlete support. Plans and executes student-athlete NIL education with a focus on personal branding, values assessments, time and opportunity management, and risk mitigation. Develops and implements financial literacy strategies including, but not limited to individual appointments, referrals, partnerships, initiatives/programs, and workshops. Provides financial education and referrals, regarding banking, saving, investment options, and financial planning. Oversees financial education and resources, including coordinating with campus, community, and national partners. Serves as a Life Skills contact for a varsity sports team; meets with student-athletes individually to provide personal and extended professional development support. Physical Effort 

Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
