Job Summary:
Fairleigh Dickinson University, Department of Occupational Therapy, seeks applications for a Doctoral Capstone Coordinator (DCC) position for the entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctoral (OTD) Program. This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position. A significant role is to manage, coordinate, and safeguard scholarly integrity and the scientific quality of capstone projects as delineated by Accreditation Council of Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) standards. The DCC is also responsible for teaching in the entry-level OTD program. The DCC will work collaboratively with the OTD Program Director, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, and faculty members to advance the program’s mission. A tenure-track appointment will be available for the qualified and interested candidate.
Required Qualifications:
1. Earned terminal doctoral degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of five years of clinical experience in occupational therapy.
3. Occupational therapy license in the state of New Jersey or eligible
4. NBCOT certification or eligibility for certification
5. Demonstrated evidence in teaching graduate courses and using Learning Management System(s)
6. Demonstrated evidence in research/ scholarly achievement is preferred.
7. Demonstrated evidence in teaching in interprofessional courses is preferred.
8. Existing independent scholarly agenda, familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures, and prior experience with successful mentorship of student research and/or capstone projects is preferred.
9. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card
