AIR’s Corporate Business Systems team is seeking an Applications Developer to join their innovative team. This position will report to the Senior Applications Developer.  In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting our web applications and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support our internal clients' web initiatives and contribute to an exceptional user experience. You will be highly motivated with extraordinary attention to detail and will welcome varied, challenging tasks, eager to develop and strengthen these skills with increasing levels of responsibility and training.  If you are excited to be part of a dynamic team and want to roll up your sleeves, this role is for you.

The responsibilities for the position include:

  • Analyze, develop, and deliver into production collections of related business applications from start to finish that could include custom-built, low-code platform-based, and commercial-off-the-shelf software components. 
  • Own and drive the technical aspects of the customer journey by providing demonstrations, managing proof of concepts, and sharing best practices. 
  • Define, document, and manage the implementation of systems. Gather requirements, design systems, and generate user documentation. 
  • Manage business systems, databases, and related web technologies ensuring 24/7 availability and performance optimization.
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for web applications.
  • Provide basic technical support to end users, addressing web-related inquiries and issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation for web platform configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support web initiatives, and projects and enhance the user experience.


Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certifications) are a plus not required.
  • Experience developing applications in Azure and proficient in Blazor development and best practices is a plus but not required.

 Skills:

  • Effective communicator with demonstrated ability to communicate with and understand the needs of both technical and non-technical internal and external clients.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate in a virtual, cross-functional diverse team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently, and collaboratively as needed.
  • Adept in a fast-paced environment to manage multiple concurrent deliveries.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Visual Studio, C#/.NET, ASP.NET programming and version control. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL query development. 
  • Expertise in coding best practices, patterns, and adjacent documentation.

 Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position. Depending on project work, qualified candidates may need to meet certain residency requirements.

AIR’s Total Rewards Program , is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission. This position offers an anticipated annual salary of $100,000 to $120,000. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.
