Position Summary:
Under general direction, coordinate with the IT Department and appropriate Hospital staff members to plan, implement, test, monitor, and maintain the Pharmacy Department information systems, automated medication storage, and dispensing systems. Assist in training staff in application of new/changed procedures related to changes in software/hardware. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* SYSTEMS - Implement system product design decisions made by department administration
* SYSTEMS - Tailor systems as needed to meet unique requirements of the department
* SYSTEMS - Assist in testing systems functionality and validating systems database integrity
* SYSTEMS - Maintain Department Charge Description Master (CDM)
* DATA - Assist in preparation of annual pharmaceutical bid request
* DOCUMENTATION - Assist in the development and updating of operating and training documentation for department systems
* SYSTEMS - Implement and test vendor hardware/software upgrades
* DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops

* Program Graduate

* Doctorate Degree
Education specialization:
Essential:
* Accredited College of Pharmacy
Nonessential:
* Pharmacy

Experience:
Essential:
No minimum experience required

Nonessential:
PharmNet, Pyxis, Automix 3+3, Multi Task Software, Spreadsheet, and D-Base programs knowledge

Credentials:
Essential:
* Pharmacist License in NM w/in 90 days

Physical Conditions:
