Job Summary
 

The Admissions Manager provides professional support in the implementation and administration of admissions strategies, policies, and procedures. The individual works as an integral member of the admissions team to assist with recruitment activities and coordination of admission processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all admissions event planning including venue selection, catering and contract negotiation for both local and nonlocal events.
  • Manages the preparation and execution of on-site admissions events such as information sessions, interview days and diversity events.
  • Oversees class visitor process including communication with prospective students and tracking in Slate.
  • Sources promotional swag to support recruiting and admissions activities such as prospective student events, alumni ambassador gifts, and referrals.
  • Manages gratitude program for referrals from students, alumni, and other Chicago Booth partners.
  • Administers collection of application materials such as transcripts and deposits. Manages credential verification process.
  • Assists with yield activities including preparing welcome packages for admitted students.
  • Aids admissions staff with day-to-day activities and special projects.
  • Supports and participates in various student related events led by the Student Life team.
  • Primary point of contact for handling admissions inquiries from prospective students, including answering email, phone calls and addressing walk-ins. Tracks all interactions in Slate, our comprehensive Admissions database. As the initial contact, incumbent is “the face” of XP Admissions and needs both broad and specific knowledge of the XP Program, EMBA overall, and Chicago Booth.
  • Maintains relationships with all individuals involved in the recruitment process, including routinely counseling students and parents regarding the admission process.
  • Participates in special projects such as developing marketing materials, monitoring budgets and recruiting underrepresented groups with moderate/high levels of authority.
  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Experience:

  • At least two years of work experience in admissions or a related field.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of database technology and Microsoft Office, as well as ability to learn new technologies quickly.
