Job Summary
This position is primarily concerned with cultivating relationships with Utah and regional High School Counselors, DECA and FBLA advisors, High School Business Faculty, key alumni, the University of Utah Office of Admissions, and the U of U Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid with the shared goal of recruitment, yield, and enrollment of first-year college students into the David Eccles School of Business.
This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions with support from the Director of the Office of Admission and Transition.
This position requires extensive interaction with prospective students, vendors, community members and other school and university staff. This person must have strong communication and project management skills, have a high-quality service orientation, and be an effective team player.
This is a HYBRID position, and will work on-campus and virtually, with schedules approved by the supervisor. There will be some evening and weekend work hours with some overnight travel for planned recruitment events.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions and Overview of Responsibilities:
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description, and more specifically as outlined below:
· Implement a domestic first‐year and transfer student recruitment plan which includes high school visits, two-year college visits, college fairs, information sessions, receptions, and meetings with secondary school and independent counselors, prospective students, families, and community‐based organizations with a focus on the Greater Salt Lake City Area.
· Build personalized relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors, alumni, and other constituents.
· Support the recruitment and admission of transfer students from Utah and the Western United States.
· Meet with and provide guidance to potential students and their support systems regarding program and admission processes.
· Participate in application reviews and provide insight on strategic direction for the admission of each academic class.
· Provide insight about each undergraduate program in the David Eccles School of Business.
· Represent the Eccles School of Business and specifically undergraduate admissions at U of U Office of Admissions events as needed.
· Significant travel, including some overnights and weekends, within the territory between early September to November and January to May is required.
· Support the Undergraduate Transitions Team to onboard new Business Scholars and undergraduate students.
· Collaborate with Branding, Marketing, and Communications to inform social media, print, and marketing strategies for recruitment efforts.
· Participate in recruitment activities and special events.
· Prepare and deliver presentations at recruiting events and business competitions.
· Construct and analyze plans that measure the effectiveness of a strategic recruitment and admissions plan – including competence utilizing online survey and database programs.
· Be knowledgeable of information systems and technologies, including social media and CRM systems.
· Utilize Qualtrics (or equivalent program) as an analytical, survey and database tool.
· Carry out special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years’ related experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
Preferences
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two years directly related experience or equivalency required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions.
