Job Description:

The Admissions Application Coordinator receives and reviews inquiries for admission to the College of Dental Medicine (CDM) and prepares responses with supporting materials to prospective student queries, maintains logs and records , processes applications for admission to the CDM including interfacing with AADSAS and PASS programs and the American Dental Education Association and secondary application materials. The coordinator provides day-to-day clerical/administrative support to the Admissions office and College of Dental Medicine (as it relates to admissions functions); assists with the planning, execution, and summary reporting of recruitment and admissions events and activities, including updating promotional materials in collaboration with KCU Communications; and helps to promote the University as a competitive educational choice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures accurate and timely completion of student applications for admittance to KCU
  • Accurately maintains current records while maintaining confidentiality
  • Serves as support staff for the work of the CDM Admissions Committee
  • Coordinates and disseminates a variety of internal and external communications and records thereof
  • Assists the Admissions Office and CDM with on and off campus events related to recruitment and admissions
  • Assists with general office support, related to Admissions
  • Represents the CDM, the Office of Admissions, and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization
  • Tracks, updates, and works with responsible parties to achieve CDM outcomes related to recruitment, admissions, and retention
  • Works under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Admissions

Qualifications:

  • Two years of college required
  • Two years’ clerical and data entry experience required
  • One year customer service experience required
  • Experience in a college admissions office highly preferred
  • Must have experience communicating in a professional environment, including appropriate verbal (phone, virtual meeting, and in person) and written correspondence skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and a self-starter
  • Ability to be flexible and able to shift priorities as demands change
  • Able to work in a team environment and interact closely and collegially with team members
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and a strong working knowledge of databases
