Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
Facilities Management seeks a highly organized professional who enjoys handling a high volume and variety of daily tasks to join the Office of the Associate Vice President and Chief Facilities Officer (AVP). Reporting to the Strategic Initiatives & Communications Officer (SICO), the Administrative Coordinator assists with department-wide initiatives, including communication and strategic initiatives, and provides administrative and project support for the AVP office, various committees, and projects.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator with high customer service standards and excellent problem-solving skills, as well as collaborative and able to interact effectively with people throughout the workplace.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for a full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Six (6) years of progressively responsible and related administrative experience.

  • Highly organized, enjoy prioritizing and handling a high volume and variety of daily tasks.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service standards, excellent problem-solving skills,

  • Ability to function in a team-oriented environment, taking on new tasks with enthusiasm and energy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion and tact.

  • Proficient in use of MS Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Gmail, GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Adobe Acrobat.
  • Dependable and handle confidential data with discretion and tact.
Preferences:
Preferences:
  • Experience providing primary administrative support to a key administrator preferred.
  • Experience in event planning and budget/financial management is preferred.
  • Experience in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Experience with Google Apps strongly desired.
  • Spanish language fluency a plus.
Additional Certifications:
Although driving a State Vehicle is not a requirement for this position, travel by foot or vehicle may be required from time to time for meetings, deliveries, etc. across campus. If driving a State vehicle, the incumbent must possess a valid class C Driver’s license or equivalent with fewer than six points.

The annual hiring salary range for this position is $54,440 – $68,050.
