Job Description

Provide administrative support to the Department Head, Assistant Department Heads, and faculty. Serve as office manager.

*The potential salary for this position ranges from $15.68-$19.75 per hour, and is contingent on the applicants previous experience and/or qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative and office management duties, some of which involve confidential matters.

  • Act as recording secretary.

  • Complete annual reports.

  • Assist with class scheduling.

  • Perform graduating prelicensure and APRN student duties and track NCLEX and APRN licensure results.

  • Process/review memorandums of understanding/affiliation agreements with clinical facilities and maintain files and databases.

  • Verify background checks for RN-BSN, FNP, and PMHNP students.

  • Maintain prelicensure student file folders for current and graduated students in file room.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4 years related experience in office management.

  • Proficient in computer skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and telephone skills.

  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Administrative or executive experience.

  • Knowledge of WTAMU policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Background in academic setting.
