What We Want

The Administrative Associate II will be responsible for performing general office support duties related to the Biology department academic units.  This position will focus on the A&P courses, while supporting the department wide teaching efforts. If this job description sounds interesting to you, we invite you to apply to be considered for this opportunity.

What You Need to Know

Starting Range: $13.26 to $15 per hour

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school graduation or any equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Two years of experience in general office or clerical work

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of keyboarding skills and spreadsheet programs

  • Great Interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Responsibilities:

  • Reception: First point of contact for most student and teaching assistant issues.  Assists teaching assistants with office materials and office equipment. Coordinates disability services accommodations for both lecture and lab.

  • Records: Assists the Technical Lab Coordinator with ordering course materials, receiving materials, and maintaining the order database and filing records for the Anatomy & Physiology Team.  Maintains schedule for common lecture and lab make up dates, TA proctoring assignments, student make up lab requests. 

  • Procedure Documents: Works with staff to maintain office procedures manual, regulations, TA training handbooks, and related information.

  • Exam Production: Assists with exam production team in copying, scantron management, key production, and filing exams and exam records. Maintains the required record retention schedules for the Anatomy & Physiology Team.

  • Support: Supports the Lab Coordinators, other administrative staff, and faculty with administrative projects, reports, databases, scheduling, and related subjects and performs other duties as assigned.
