Position Overview

Would you enjoy providing technical support to trainers and educators so that more students receive instruction in social-emotional learning? Do you like collecting and reviewing data to ensure virtual training and coaching are effective for teachers? Research Collaboration, a unit within the Center for Research on Learning, University of Kansas is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented full-time Administrative Assistant to support a growing team of professionals who contribute to research projects focused on implementing and evaluating professional development for teachers. This position will provide support to key staff across multiple projects and requires high attention to detail, as well as the ability to multi-task to effectively meet competing deadlines.


Job Description

20% - Provide technology support for virtual professional development workshops.
20% - Assist project director with a variety of coordination and organization tasks supporting the delivery of professional development, such as driving to Kansas City to support trainings.
15% - Provide administrative support in the day-to-day operations of multiple professional development projects as directed by key staff.
15% - Summarize data for a variety of audiences by developing easy-to-interpret graphs, charts, and descriptive reports.
10% - Create instructional videos for educators.
10% - Create and manage Microsoft Excel spreadsheets with formulas to organize and analyze data.
5% - Design surveys in Qualtrics and Google Forms with navigation logic and customized data displays.
5% - Other duties and special projects as needed.
