The mission of Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is to assist veterans in returning to post-secondary educational programs. The Academic Services Coordinator will coordinate the academic services that each VUB participant receives in addition to teaching college preparation and refresher courses for adults who are participating in courses and independent study. VUB provides instruction in math, reading, composition, literature, and computer skills. The Academic Services Coordinator provides instruction in one-to-one, small group, and workshop settings. The successful candidate will adhere to the principles of promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in education.
This position is located in Kansas City, KS, but travel within the five-county target area is also expected.
