Job Description Summary

The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at Bentley is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer to teach two (2) sections of Environmental Chemistry in spring 2020. This introductory level laboratory course explores the nature of environmental problems through the lens of chemistry. Students study the movement and change of matter in order to understand the relationships among air pollution, water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, energy production, and climate change. In the laboratory, students learn basic lab techniques applied to water quality and other investigations in environmental chemistry and energy production.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be available to teach lecture/lab sections on Mondays (9:30 AM-3:20 PM) and Thursdays (8:00 AM-3:20 PM) during the spring 2020 semester.
  • PhD in chemistry, earth science, or other environmental science-related field is preferred, although Ph.D. candidates in late stages of training will be considered.
