Job Description

This position will teach Adult Health Nursing beginning Spring 2022. This position is funded by the CARES Act/HEERF funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of funding.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Adult Health Nursing and practicum courses.

  • Work collaboratively with the lead faculty in the implementation of Adult Health, II Nursing Practicum courses.

  • Maintain records as designed and structured; submit attendance and evaluation of the learners’ performance; schedule and maintain weekly office hours and mentor students; post grades (mid-term & final); and follow-through in other duties as prescribed.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Master’s Degree in Nursing

  • Experience and credentialing in Adult Health Nursing, II preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and service in nursing education and practice.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required Licensure and/or Certification:

  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Texas or eligible to apply of licensure.
