Job Description

The Department of Natural Sciences, in the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks applications from qualified candidates for a part-time non-tenure track position in Water Resources Science and Technology specializing in the following areas: limnology, aquatic ecosystems, water chemistry, and field applications. Teaching assignments may include day or evening classes, online or in-person instruction, flexible to suit course schedule. 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master of Science (M.S.) in environmental science, aquatic ecological science, environmental engineering and management, or related field from a regionally accredited institution. 

  • Must have 18 graduate credit hours in related area.

  • Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates.     

  • Ability to work with faculty and staff, ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff. 

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Working towards or has earned Ph.D. in environmental science, aquatic ecological science, environmental engineering and management, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.   

  • Experience in field investigation projects, with a focus on water resources preservation and remediation.  

  • Experience in online, remote method of instruction.

  • Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching.
