Job Description


The Department of Counseling, Health & Kinesiology is currently seeking applicants for a non- tenure track adjunct faculty position in our graduate Counselor Education (EDCG) program that began in Spring 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach graduate courses in the EDCG degree program. Quality performance will be expected in teaching.

  • Prepare and teach the assigned class following a syllabus guideline.

  • Maintain appropriate records, assign earned grades, report needed data to the department, and complete all necessary development assessment information.

  • Work hours depend on course schedule and teaching assignments may include day, night, and/or weekend courses.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Doctoral degree in counseling or counselor education.

  • 18 graduate hours in a field related to the EDCG program of studies.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experiencementoringstudentsincounselingandcounseloreducation.

  • Experience with educational technology and distance learning.

  • Teaching and supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to demonstrate potential for teaching excellence.

  • Demonstrated ability in working with all student populations.
