Description:   

Part-time faculty on the SAN ANTONIO campus. The successful candidate will teach lower-division undergraduate courses in Speech Communication, based on academic qualifications. Applicants will be contacted according to departmental needs. Teaching assignments are all in face-to-face and hybrid format and may include day or night classes, as well as courses that include dual-credit or Early College High School students.

Salary: $3000/course.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Communication, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.

  • 18 completed graduate course hours in Communication, Speech, or a related field.

  • Experience with teaching lower-division Speech classes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hands-on teaching techniques.

  • Experience in culturally diverse settings.

  • Completed Ph.D. in Communication.

Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution by the Office of Academic Affairs, A&M-SA, One University Way, San Antonio, Texas 78224. We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator (e.g., AACRAO; http://www.aacrao.org/credential/index.htm ).
