Job Summary
The Economics Discipline at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor colleague in Economics, beginning Fall semester 2022.
The successful colleague will demonstrate excellence in effective teaching Principles of Economics courses. The Discipline is committed to an inclusive learning environment and to increasing the diversity of the campus community. In alignment with Gonzaga University’s mission, colleagues should demonstrate, via teaching and/or service, a strong commitment to Gonzaga’s Jesuit, Catholic, and humanistic identity and mission which include issues of social justice, diversity, global engagement, and care for/solidarity with vulnerable and marginalized communities. Colleagues who have experience working with a diverse range of faculty, staff, and students, and who can contribute to the departmental ethos and campus climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in these areas.
Essential Functions

The successful colleague will demonstrate excellence in effective and inclusive teaching of Economics courses.
Teaching responsibilities include an 4-8 credit course load teaching principles courses per semester.
Minimum Qualifications
  • MA in Economics or closely related field with an undergraduate degree in Economics.
  • Evidence of effective teaching in Economics or related courses.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated evidence of inclusive, equity- and diversity-minded teaching practices
