The Faculty of Science and Engineering is seeking to appoint a motivated individual to carry out a teaching tutor role to support Organic and Medicinal Chemistry teaching within the Department of Chemistry. The post requires high quality delivery of teaching and student learning and a commitment to enhancing the overall student experience.

The main purpose of the post is to contribute to the teaching and assessment of the second-year Biological and Medicinal Chemistry module. In addition, the teaching tutor will aid with the delivery and assessment of laboratory and other classes in organic, biological, medicinal and analytical chemistry across all years of study, and will share organisational and academic administrative responsibilities. This post is part of Faculty’s commitment to the development of a rich learning environment for students.

A degree or equivalent in Chemistry or any other relevant field is essential, as is the ability to teach and supervise students at undergraduate level, both in a class setting and in the teaching laboratory, in organic and medicinal chemistry. A recognised teaching qualification is desirable.
