Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Trial Manager, within School of Medicine, Mental Health & Clinical Neurosciences. You will be based at the Queens Medical Centre Campus and will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team coordinating multi-centre UK and international stroke trials. 

You will work within a multi-disciplinary clinical trial team on large multi-centre stroke trials as a Clinical Trial Manager to gain a thorough grounding in clinical trial management. You will support the Trial Manager and Senior Clinical Trial Manager with HR responsibilities, trial governance and report writing. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing site monitoring visits at clinical trial centres, co-ordinating trial set-up and close-down procedures, follow-up visits and telephone calls for trials conducted by the Stroke Trials Team.

You will be involved with several clinical trials and will be required to work with a team as well as independently to manage trial documentation, centres and deliver the research goals. You will join an established team, led by Prof Philip Bath, whose main areas of research interest include stroke. Work will be in accordance with ICH-GCP guidelines for the conduct of clinical research trials. Travel within the UK and Internationally will be required to attend conferences and research sites.

You will be an RGN with post registration experience in clinical research OR possess a first level degree in nursing or equivalent in psychology or a relevant healthcare profession. A management qualification would be desirable. You should have significant clinical trial experience, trial coordination and staff management experience. 

This is a full-time (36.25 hours per week), fixed-term post until 31st August 2024. Arrangements for job share may be considered. Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
