The School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh invites applications for a Senior Researcher on the project “Quantum Computing Platform for NISQ Era Commercial Applications” funded by the Innovate UK. This is a multidisciplinary collaborative project involving stakeholders in industry and academy. The successful candidate will join a team focussed on conducting leading UK research into hardware testing for emerging scalable quantum devices.

The Opportunity:

The post offers an active role in steering this exciting project to a position of international leadership in its field. The successful candidate should have a PhD in Computer Science or Physics, and a strong background and track record on quantum verification or quantum machine learning to be able to supervise other students in the team, as well as extensive experience driving forward multidisciplinary research projects.

The successful candidate will join a team focussed on conducting leading UK research into quantum hardware testing.
